Roosevelt river

The Roosevelt River, formerly known as the River of Doubt, is a tributary of the Aripuanã River – Amazonas. This river became famous for having in its discovery the participation of a former American president, Theodore Roosevelt, when, upon learning of Rondon's frustrated attempts to map the river, it was always interrupted by its hostile, misty waterfalls. Therefore, Theodore Roosevelt, with his wisdom in exploring, decided to join the expedition in order to complete the course of this very doubtful river together.

The Roosevelt River, with its rich biodiversity of rocky, fast-flowing and dark waters, is home to a great diversity of species, and it was not for nothing that it attracted the attention of a former American president to be part of this famous expedition.

Sport fishing enthusiasts will find fish in this river such as piraíba, pirarara, jáu, cachara, peacock bass, bicuda, cachorra, aruanã, pirapitinga, corvina, matrinchã, jatuarana, apapá and several other less sporty species.
